Windows 10 support is ending — what to do

Microsoft has ended free security updates for Windows 10. Here's what that actually means for you.

What "end of support" means

Your computer will keep working exactly as it did — but it will no longer receive security patches, which makes it gradually more vulnerable to new threats over time.

Your options

  • Upgrade to Windows 11, if your computer meets the requirements
  • Extended security updates, if available for your version, as a temporary bridge
  • Replace the device, if it's older and wouldn't run Windows 11 well anyway

How to check what applies to you

Not sure which option makes sense for your computer? Bring it in or book a remote session — we'll check your hardware and give you an honest recommendation, whichever way it goes.
